Magdalena (Maggie) BatlleResearch AssistantMaggie is a senior undergraduate student at UA majoring in Psychology and minoring in Social Welfare. She is interested in a career in clinical psychology that focuses on the representation of underserved youth populations. Maggie is interested in research around behavioral health equity, and assessment and treatment measures that are culturally considerate. Maggie is the oldest of her 3 siblings, and she enjoys novice attempts at baking and Studio Ghibli films!
Jennah GlassResearch AssistantJennah is a junior double majoring in psychology and criminal justice at UA. She aims to earn a PhD in Clinical Child Psychology, in hopes of becoming a child psychologist working within the juvenile system. Jennah is interested in researching which rehabilitative measures work best and apply those to help adolescents in the juvenile system have a chance at life outside of the legal system in their adulthood. She is from Sweet Water, Alabama, and loves all things Alabama, especially football. Jennah spends most of her free time hanging out with friends and family. She has a cat named Maizy who keeps her busy, too!
Jermaya (Maya) MartinResearch AssistantJermaya is a Senior at UA majoring in Psychology and minoring in Creative Writing. She is from Birmingham, Al. Jermaya loves to read, write, and spend time with her pet bunny, named Snowball. In a couple years, Jermaya hopes to be a licensed therapist, helping minority communities understand and receive necessary mental health benefits and information.
Paige SackmanResearch AssistantPaige is originally from Chicago, and is a graduate student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UA. She has an interest in Psychology and how it relates to the Criminal Justice system, and would like to work in the prison system as a psychologist!
Meleah TreadawayResearch AssistantMeleah is currently in undergrad at UA and is double majoring in Psychology and English with minors in Biochemistry and Interdisciplinary Studies in Medicine. Having grown up in Gantt, Alabama, she is personally committed to improving mental health services in rural communities. She has a special interest in the formation of personality and the development of compassion. Following her undergraduate studies, she hopes to attend medical school, where she will focus on behavioral medicine and pediatric psychiatry. In her spare time, she loves to sew, write, and go on long hikes. She also has a garden where she grows over forty different varieties of flowers!

Ainsley ChristianResearch AssistantAinsley is from Tuscaloosa, AL, she has lived around the The University of Alabama her whole life! She is hoping to pursue a degree in geriatric clinical psychology and get her PhD here at the University of Alabama. In her spare time, she hangs out with her friends at the Assisted Living Facility she works at and also hangs out with her cats.
Sim HartsfieldResearch AssistantSim is currently a sophomore at the University of Alabama majoring in psychology. While pursuing his major, he will work towards a PhD in Clinical Psychology. In his spare time, Sim practices jujitsu, music, and enjoys time with Ben, his Border-Aussie dog.
Katie MonkResearch AssistantKatie is a recent graduate from The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in psychology and human development and family studies with a minor in food and nutrition. During her undergraduate degree program, Katie mainly focused on direct patient care by working at an IV clinic and COVID-19 testing. Katie's main goal in research is to help improve the mental health care system for all individuals through inclusivity treatment approaches and understanding environmental impacts. For fun, Katie loves practicing yoga, reading poetry, and learning about various topics in the world for fun. When Katie and her partner are not busy, they enjoy attending community events such as art festivals and the farmer’s market.

Mycala CovingtonResearch AssistantMycala Covington is a junior majoring in psychology and minoring in addiction and recovery studies. She has a vested interest in addiction therapy as well as childhood development. On campus, she holds position in Generation Action at UA as well as being an assistant for the men's basketball team. In her free time, she enjoys being with family and friends. Mycala plans to continue her studies after graduating by pursuing her masters in psychology.
Aysha LucasResearch AssistantAysha is a Junior at UA majoring in Psychology and minoring in Creative Media. After completing her undergraduate degree, Aysha plans to attend graduate school to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology. A few of her interests outside of academics include traveling, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. Aysha is an avid movie and television show watcher with a running list of over 200 films and shows she has watched!
Jack PflaumResearch AssistantJack is a junior psychology major at the University of Alabama, and minors in history and German. He has an interest in cognitive psychology and neuropsychology, and plans to get his PhD to work as a psychological researcher. In his free time, he likes to play the piano.
Brianne TherrienResearch AssistantBrianne is a senior at UA from Montgomery, AL. She is majoring in psychology and minoring in biology with a pre-medical concentration. After graduation, she aspires to attend medical school in hopes of becoming a Psychiatrist. In her spare time, Brianne enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends, but you can often find her at a park with her dog, Precious.
